Mini getaway – Buddy’s hometown!

I’m back I’m back!
I hope I can finish this entry in the shortest possible time and also recall all the right details…lolol.

Saturday
Met up with Sikai, Shrine, TCC, Potato and Potato’s mum in AMK and we were all ready for our trip! (:
The guys were all surprised that my bag was so light…lolol! Even lighter than Shrine’s and TCC’s…I was surprised too! Cause usually my bag will be the heaviest =.= But this time round I was determined not to break my shoulder again, so I packed as little stuff as possible xD

The travelling took quite some time: Train-ed to Kranji; then took bus to JB; then another bus to Larkin. (That’s not all)

Was demo-ing my toothbrush holder to Shrine and gang and I stick it on the bus window..LOL!

Reached Larkin and we waited 1 hour before boarding the coach to Potato’s grandma’s house, which is in Kluang.
Having Malaysia Mac for the first time as brunch…lolol.

The coach journey to Kluang was quite long…like about 1-2 hours.
Then after we reached, we took a short cab journey to reach his Grandma’s house (:

His relatives are all super nice to us! Super friendly and funny too (((:

Slacked a while as we were waiting for the rain to stop D:

Then finally we got out of the house at around 4pm, together with Potato’s cousins.

At the bus-stop…which we had a long and hot wait for the bus =X

I didn’t know their buses don’t usually close the door…
And I even asked his cousin how many stops to get to the shopping mall that we were heading to. Then they told me that there are no number of stops…cause the people just press the bell whenever they wanna alight! O.O
No wonder the cousins always complain about walking even if it’s just short distance! Lolol.

Shopping time! (:
It was quite pai seh to shop with all his cousins around, cause they gotta wait for us and etc. Potato noticed that and kept asking us to just shop as we want. So I just 不要脸-ly shopped lor xD

While shopping, I told Li Ping (Potato’s cousin) about my plan to celebrate Potato’s birthday in advance. Cause I know buddy is very close to his family and relatives, so it would be nice to have them celebrate for him ((:

My initial plan was to have his grandma celebrate for him too, cause Potato dotes on his grandma like a lot a lot a lot…hahaha.
But the guys wanted to sing K, which means we would be hanging out till late. So Li Ping, who was damn excited for the surprise plan and had already started cracking her brain, discussed with her other cousins and Soon Weng.
It turned out that Soon Weng already had the same idea as me in mind! So I just left everything for them to settle cause I know whatever I plan ALWAYS fail =.=”

Discussing dinner plan, which took quite long. Cause they changed from venue to venue…lolol.

Finally settled in this place they call – Huang Cheng.
Had the Mee Hoon Kueh which Li Ping highly-recommended and it’s really nice! The soup is very sweet ((:

After dinner, we went back to the shopping mall to check out the karaoke place. By then Soon Weng and 1 of his cousins had left to prepare Potato’s birthday celebration…lolol.
Everything went quite smoothly…Potato believed their excuses for departure; we were to sing K and then go to the pub downstairs to drink (but actually is for the celebration)

Had a long discussion about singing K because of room size, age limit and the birthday plan of course. Like by the time we finish K, it would be pretty late already :S
Nevertheless, we went ahead with 1 and a half hour of K (:

Malaysia KBox~

The room was too small for all of us, so Soon Weng, Li Ping and her sister were sitting outside all the while :S
But actually they were discussing about the birthday plan while we were singing inside.

Everything was by right already well-planned by Soon Weng. He made a reservation in the pub and left the cake there. Potato didn’t suspect anything at all…
Until Xiao Di innocently asked him, “Ah Bao (his nickname), where’s your cake?”
LOL.

Despite of him spoiling our birthday surprise, he’s still cute (:

I wasn’t really very excited to sing that night cause I was having a bad headache (lack of sleep!) and was already superrrr tired.
I was just waiting for the birthday surprise…lolol.

That’s like singing K once every 10 years to me…LOL.

Finally the K-session was over and it was time for the failed plan!
I think Potato is damn irritating =.= He already knew the plan (because of Xiao Di) and yet he chose to not go along with our plan! He almost wasted all our efforts cause he was damn reluctant to go to the pub!!!

But of course we went in the end since everyone was on for it. And of course buddy pretended that he didn’t know anything even though we already know that he knew…lololol.

Kinda like the pub though I think the music is a bit too loud =X

Cause there is a live band behind! The music was good though~

Chit-chatting and all pretending that no one know anything…LOL.
Nah actually TCC and Sikai didn’t know about the plan. I didn’t wanna tell them cause too many cooks spoil the broth =X
Shrine just happened to know only..lolol.

My Booz Apple Grape drink was quite nice, though I can’t taste much alcohol in it…lolol.

Then the cake was bring served!
Thanks to Potato’s cousin for helping me get the cake, cause there was simply no way for me to get it myself…lolol.

ACTING SURPRISED! KNS!!! ARGH! KNS! LOL.

The guys actually wanted the band to play a birthday song for us, but somehow the band kept skipping our song :S
So we waited like idiots and the candles melted like crap.

Finally we gave up and sang our own birthday song! xD

And then it comes to the highest part of the night! CAKE-SMASH!!! xD

Sikai commented that he felt damn shiok when he smacked the cake right into his face…LMAO!
Even I felt the shiok-ness luh! LOL!

So this is my birthday present for buddy for the year xD

Potato was damn disgusting! He grabbed a piece of cake and just threw at people! LOLOL!
Shrine was suay enough to kanna the attack…HAHAHAHA!

And then he tricked me despite my trust for our 15 years friendship…tsk tsk tsk!
He grabbed another piece of cake from the mess and told me to have a bite. So I gave him face and bite it. Guess what, he pushed it against me!
Luckily I siam-ed fast enough! =.=”

But I did the same thing back to him…LOLOL. I grabbed another piece of smashed cake and made him eat it from my hand. Then pushed it against his face xD

I even had to walk to the washroom with 1 leg bare-foot cause I was playing around all the while bare-footed, and I stepped on the mess =.=”

Left shortly after the celebration cause it was already 1-2am and the cousins’ parents were actually nagging already, I think?
Was really really tired after the celebration, but we had to wait for Potato’s uncle’s second round of car ride, cause we had way too many people :S

His grandma’s house became like a refugee camp…LOL.
Quite paiseh cause they had a hard time planning how to arrange us, due to insufficient beds/mattresses. But I was too tired to help them plan or anything =X

Bathed and dozed off right after, even though Mei Feng (another cousin) kept asking me not to sleep…LOLOL.
She bugged me to chat with her, but I was seriously too tired for that no matter how much I would love to.

Sunday
Was the first to wake up because I volunteered to do so, since I was the first to sleep (:
Prepared and then Potato’s dad came to fetch us to many many places!

The cousins and aunt kept asking us not to leave, cause we only stayed for 1 day there…lolol.
But we had to leave, cause day 2 was at Potato’s dad’s house, which is nearer to the custom.

Seriously, we ate like pigs with Potato’s dad around! LOL. He took us to all the places with good food and the worst thing is he paid for everything! (Except for those that we managed to thrust our money out first)

First stop: Breakfast!

This ham and egg sandwich which Potato highly-recommended is super delicious! I realised that the ingredients in Malaysia are much more generous as compared to Singapore.
Singapore’s ham & egg sandwich is only like a thin slice of egg =.=”

He drove us to many places and waited for us to do our shopping =X

At the market that his dad stopped by to get some stuff~

Then he brought us to the sea area…lolol.

Next stop was some temple area (:
We tried this soya sauce cracker and it’s nice!

I think Singapore doesn’t have this.

But the guys had a had time preventing the sauce from dripping…

Everyone were trying to touch the big fishes because they believe that it will bring luck or something (:

Then Potato’s dad brought us to this seafood place which he patronises often, according to Potato.

And he ordered a big feast for us! :S
Fried prawns because we were all lazy to remove shells…lololol.

And these are not all…the real MAIN dish had yet to come =X

Sikai was angry that I gave him so much rice, which made him too full for the MAIN dish…LOLOL.
He was the one who volunteered to eat my rice lor! Rubbish bin.

And here comes the main dish that I was talking about – crabs!
And this was only shared among the 4 of us – TCC, Shrine, Sikai and me because Potato and his dad didn’t really eat D:

The guys had a great time eating the crabs which they claim is IMBA. Lolol.

After the pig feast~

Next stop was Potato’s paternal grandparents’ home, which is a kampong. Oh man~ I haven’t been to a kampong for superrrr long. Used to visit my grand uncle’s kampong often before he passed away  (:

Shrine said it’s rude to say this, but I really think Potato’s grandpa is super cute leh! =X
He doesn’t recgonise Potato, cause he shook hand with him…lolol. Then when we were about to leave in the car, he shook hand with me! xD
He was very happy to see us luh!

The backyard~

Potato’s dad brought us to a shopping mall which was on the way to his house. Shopped around and I saw Zhen Hao!
LOLOL.

We were playing around with the songkok and when Shrine tried it on, we all commented that he looks super like a Malay!!!
Shrine-Ahmad! LOLOL.

After finishing the mall, Potato’s dad drove us to his house and we put our stuff and everything (:

And despite not being treated as a girl most of the time, I do still get certain privileges like … having a room to myself! xD

After showering and resting for a while, his dad took us to Jusco, which I went a few times with my Sis before (:
Shoppingggggg again! xD

Shopped till around 10pm before we headed for dinner, since we had a super full feast in the afternoon.

Satay, stingray, fish, fruit platter ♥, chicken wings, prawn noodle and rojak. Really like pigs!

Back to his Dad’s house for sleeppppp!
Cause everyone was lacking of sleep…lolol.

Monday
Managed to have much more sleep before waking up to shower, cause there were 3 bathrooms, so we had more time to prepare (:
Then his dad drove us out for breakfast!

Shrine kept commenting that Potato’s spending habit is inherited from his dad…lololol. Cause his dad also spend extravagantly =X

Wanton mee! Niceeee (:
Seriously, Potato and his dad practically brought us to all the places with good food only!

The guys even had second round…lolol.

After eating, his dad dropped us at City Square before leaving with our bagssss =X
Sang K again! Hehe.

Sang for 2 hours and we began shopping again! Or rather, I began shopping again xD
But I seriously don’t think that I’ve bought a lot even though I spent the most among them…hehe.
I still didn’t get any shoes!!! D:

Potato bought some bah gua before he realised that he might be stopped at the custom. So the person actually wrapped the bah gua for him and Potato commented it looks like drugs now..LOLOL.

Finished shopping and we settled at a restaurant – Vivo. The guys ate AGAIN =X
While waiting for his dad, Potato suddenly decided to stay in Malaysia =.= But he promised that he will be back for his birthday, and we shall see again…Zzzzz.

His dad came back to City Square to pass us our bags, which I felt kinda bad for. Cause it’s like he is our chauffeur :S
And he really spent a lot on us! Even paid for some of our snacks that we were buying back to Singapore…

Collected our stuff from his car and Potato left with his dad, while I managed to bring the 3 guys back to Singapore safely…lolol. Cause Potato was depending on me to bring them back after deciding to leave us to go back on our own D:

But anyway, this trip was a really great shopping trip for me I’m so happy with all my shopping loots luh! All super cheapppp xD
And really really thankful to buddy’s relatives and family for the hospitality man!

The guys think it’s a lot lahhhh…but I don’t feel so though I lugged 2 big bags home…hehe.

While unpacking just now, I found this bee necklace in my bag!

TCC wanted to show me a bee necklace when we were shopping on Saturday but it was gone soon after. So he suspected that buddy had bought it for me and indeed! The guys put it in my new bag when they volunteered to carry my shopping loots while I go to the fitting room…lololol.

Really touched by the surprise gift! Hahaha!
