For forced to wake up before catching my 8 hours of sleep because I was roasted by the sun!!! That’s the result of sleeping right beside the window x.x
Mad tired due to the midnight shopping the previous night~ But woke up to prepare because we gonna travel far far away today!
Accompanied Siew Eng to change money (again) first while I enjoyed my banana milk

Then off to try the Two Two Chicken that she had been wanting to try!

We were the first customers I think! Because restaurants and shops there just don’t open that early~

Decided to just order this popcorn chicken-like dish to share because the rest are rather big portion. But it turned out that this was enough to make us full =/

And this is like their McDonald’s~

I remember it was a real long journey that I can’t even remember where exactly did we alight to transfer and so on; I was seizing every chance to sleep in the train! LOL.
This is … some train station where we transferred =/

But this is not the usual Seoul Metropolitan Subway (or MRT) that we always take; this is the Korail!

Dropped off at somewhere to transfer once again =/

Waiting for another train and saw this smartly-dressed staff climbing up from the track because he went down to pick a ball! And he laughed and blabbered some Korean when he caught me snapping at him…LOL.

View from the train station (:

And that’s what overly bored people do – cam-whore!

And this is what lack of sleep does to you! Cranky!!!

My partner is busy taking photos; no time to entertain me D:

This is what overly-tired people do – sleep at train station! LOL!

And then cam-whore and cam-whore! xD

Yay! My partner is joining me now! Hahaha!

Finally the train was here and off to our destination~!

Had a good sleep in the train and we finally reached our final stop – Gapyeong station I think? Or was it Cheongpyeong??? Ahhh whichever luh~ Slightly more energetic now! >.<

But actually we had not reached our destination, because we were supposed to take another bus to reach! Asking for bus information~

After much enquiry, we got to know that the bus arrival time is still more than an hour plus away! D:
By then it would have been quite late and we had 2 places to visit… So no choice but to cab!

Reached our destination – Petite France!

If you have ever read The Little Prince aka 小王子 by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, you will be able to relate this place and love it! (:

It’s damn pretty inside!!!!!!!!!!

Ahhhhh! I want a swing at home too! x.x

So countryside kind of feeling (:

Then there is this animal area~ Meow~

Ahhhhhhhhh! Spotted Lee Min Ho!!!!!!!!!! ❤

The living room is so nice too~

I remember this from the book!

Love this leaf! I even brought it back with me but it’s all crumpled and dried up now =/

Pretty photos of Petite France!

This picture is 1 of those used for the cover of The Little Prince book! (:

I kept telling Siew Eng that I wanna go down to the castle to take photo and she didn’t expect that I was referring to this..hahaha!

HAHAHAHAHAHA! Lack-of-sleep-craziness!!!

We were actually rushing to take the next bus because once we miss it, we gonna wait god damn long for another and by then we will be too late to visit our next location~
But spotted some nice wall paintings!

Have a vague memory of this picture from the book too!

The museum of The Little Prince and its author – Antoine Marie Roger (:

The different versions of The Little Prince books!

Ahhhh! I remember seeing this tree in the book too! xD

One last shot in Petite France before leaving to catch our bus! (:

Didn’t wait too long for the bus to arrive but as expected, it was already pretty dark by the time we reached my long anticipated dream island even though it was only 6pm! x.x

Took the ferry to the island nevertheless because it’s 1 of the only few places that I die die wanna visit in Korea!

In the ferry and it was already damnnnnn cold~

But the whole ferry ride only took like 5 minutes~

I believe the night conceals the beauty of this place and makes it look like some haunted island x.x

And it doesn’t help that my camera takes real ugly photos at night, so the whole trip is quite a disappointment for me D:

For those who do not know, Nami Island is popular because Winter Sonata was filmed here and it’s actually a beautiful tourist attraction~ Supposedly something like this!

But all I saw was a pitch dark forest T.T
Can anyone understand that disappointment or not?! Dream island turned dark forest~

Looking ghostly under the pretty tree~

The pictures only look nice at areas where there is sufficient light x.x

One of the more beautiful things that I spotted =/

It’s really freezing cold at the island by the way!!! I wasn’t wearing those gloves and muffles for fun -.-”

So cute and sweet! The words weren’t written too long ago if you notice (:

This must be the most beautiful thing left at night!

Since there wasn’t that many beautiful things left to shoot, I decided to shoot a few more of this bridge…haha!

Bugs that never look so cute before~

I took this with flash because it was damn dark at that area and for a moment I thought there were really 2 men standing there! -______-|||

With the -____- snowman…hahaha!

It’s really made up of glass bottles! So cool!

With messages written on the bottles (:

Left the place after 1 hour plus because we gotta take the next ferry to catch the last bus~ Disappointed that I did not even find the statue of Bae Yong Joon and Choi Ji-woo, which was also featured in the movie – Hello Stranger! D:

Only found eerie-looking statues x.x

And eerie-looking train~
Really looks like some horror film right?!

Then saw this huge ostrich!!! It’s real by the way!

It’s really huge and I can totally imagine it attacking someone if one were to accidentally step on it in the dark =/

Took the ferry back and cam-whored in the washroom while waiting for Siew Eng! xD

Both of us were waiting outside the convenience store where we were told that the bus will stop and we just look like 2 卖火柴的小女孩, literally shivering in the cold! T.T
It was really damnnnnnnnnnnn coldddddddddddddd and the bus just refused to come! Then after a long wait of close to 30 minutes, the staff of the convenience store actually saved us from dying in the cold!
He came out for a puff and after a while, he finally asked if we are waiting for the bus! So he checked the timing for us and it turned out that the last bus was like 2-3 hours ago?!?!
Didn’t even bother to go back to the information counter to ask why have we been given the wrong information and just took a cab instead! It was @#$%&@#$%& FREEZING COLD!!!
Luckily the nearest train station isn’t too far away and once we got off the cab, we just ran our way into the station because it’s way too cold outside!!! LOL!
Took the long train journey back to Dongdaemun and had a good nap again xD

Attempted to find the APM mall again and according to the information counter staff, there is indeed another mall called APM and it’s a wholesale place!

But it turned out to be a great great disappointment again because the place was in a mess; bags of clothes all around and it was so difficult to shop around -.- Neither does the the interior nor exterior look like the mall that I was looking for~
Gave up on the mall and shopped at street stalls around the area instead =/
Then tried the Isaac sandwich that Siew Eng recommended!

My egg and bacon sandwich! It’s niceeeeeeeeee with all the veggie~!

Cho~ hungry because the only proper meal we had was the Two Two Chicken =/

Bought more facial products!!! xD

Hi, I want to know how to go to Petite France by subway. Would you like to give me the direction? Thx..
Mar 12, 2012 @ 13:59:04
Hi Yenny, depending on where you are travelling from. I will give you the direction from Dongdaemun History and Cultural Park station, since that’s where we started our journey.
- Take subway to Gunja (Line 5 & 7 – 8stns from Dongdaemun History and Cultural Park)
- Transfer and take Line 7 to Sanbong (5stns)
- From Sanbong, you have to take the Korail (as shown in pictures above) on the Gyeongchun Line and alight at Cheongpyeong Stn (9stns)
Exit from exit 1 and you will see a information counter outside. Check for the bus arrival timing (the bus interval is pretty long) or you can take a cab from there.
