The early birds were already having breakfast! I am considered quite an early bird too since I know I need time to prepare, so I will try to wake up earlier~ But Tiff is still the earliest bird every day, because she needs at least 2 hours to prepare 😱 Whereas the cute couple is very fast in their preparation, so they are usually very on time too!
Love how we get to sit together and have breakfast together like a family…hehe! But due to the differences in waking up time and preparation time, we can hardly have everyone eating together at the same time 😐 Usually the early birds would have been done by the time the late birds come down~
My sumptuous breakfast – strawberries, cake from clubhouse last night, bread from Singapore and fruit juice!
Set off to our first destination – Town Hall station! A little change of plan because it was a rainy day, so we decided to visit somewhere indoor instead~ So first stop – Queen Victoria Building, which was supposed to be day 1’s plan! 😀
A group picture before Mr Chan left to meet his old friend for coffee! Oh Mommeyyyy did not join us because of her leg problem and also because she had visited most of the places that we wanna go. She really flew here mainly to SEE us! (((:
I only know the building is well-known for its pretty interior and exterior. They are a lot of shops inside too, but mostly designer brands or not things that we would buy back~ So we had a photography session inside instead!
We stayed at this Great Australian Clock spot for a long time because it’s quite a nice spot for pictures! 😀 Took the chance to brush up my photography skill too with my Canon camera! I think it takes really nice pictures and I am so glad that it came right in time for this trip! Hehe!
The EOS M10 camera comes with 2 zoom lens but I only brought 1 because it’s heavy. Still, it’s good enough and despite zooming so much into the clock’s figurines, the details remain quite clear! I’m impressed!
Moving on to practise photography on the stained glass windows! Definitely reminds me of the churches in Europe~
And in case you’re wondering where’s Leng Leng, here is she! Still busy with the endless phone calls all day long~ I really pity people who have to bring their work on holiday 😐 I mean I genuinely feel sad for them. What’s a holiday if you still gotta work…hmmmm.
Then it was time to check out the exterior! This beautiful building is the Sydney Town Hall! It’s not in our itinerary so we did not go in to see, only chanced upon it when we were crossing the road to the building beside~
And this is the popular watermelon cake that she recommended! I actually went there for this but chose another cake in the end…hahaha! This was Tiff’s order and I took a shot of it at the cashier before it got all squishy, flimsy and yucky~
As you can tell, the Friday Foodie Market only happens on Fridays, like duh~ And we were only left with less than an hour when we arrived! But there wasn’t as much as I had expected, just a few stalls and we finished them in no time. Maybe it’s also because of the bad weather, so only a few stallholders were there 😔
And we had to skip some places for the day due to time constraint, because travelling in a big group really takes more time than I had expected~ Maybe my itinerary is only meant for myself 😅
It took us a really longggggg walk to finally find it! Felt so bad for poor Karen and also Ronald, who was freezing from the cold ☹ Finally having our first proper meal of the day (except breakfast) at odd hour again! Haha!
I did not order any mains because I was looking forward to finally eat my cake from Black Star! This is the lychee raspberry cake that caught my eye 😍 It’s super nice!!! Nicer than the watermelon cake in my humble opinion…hehe.
No proper street shot of the Chinatown because it was still drizzling~ It basically rained the entire day! But at least there were still more stalls than the foodie market, just that all the food were rather overpriced. Saw prata!!! I definitely miss curry and all the spicy food during this trip, but I think this prata was at least 4 bucks and above 😑
Ended the night after some Chinese food at the food court. The food were quite expensive too but the portion was crazy, especially the mountain of rice! We did not order that but we were quite shocked by all the portions we saw at other tables 😅
Headed back to deliver Mommeyyyyy her sandwich and medicine! She was down with cough and was in the apartment the whole day due to the rain~ Luckily she’s a mouse and knows how to steal bread from the dining table…hahaha!
